This Summer, Keeping You & Your Mate Active

As Los Angeles and the world begins to go back to normal, you and your Mate are now able to experience a beautiful summer in no better place than California’s coast! While we spent last summer in the midst of COVID craziness, we are now allowed to venture out to hiking trails, events and spots. Interested in finding some new places or those that you’ve missed? Well we’ve got you covered offering things to hit all across LA!


WEST HOLLYWOOD AREA


Wanting to go for a hike? Check out Griffith Park and Runyon Canyon

You will find that these two places are very pet-friendly and inviting for your pup to make friends along with their pawrents! You both will not only be getting in a good workout but at the end of each trail you get to admire an amazing view of Los Angeles!

Want to soak up the sun and relax? Check out Lake Hollywood Park and Laurel Canyon Dog Park

At Lake Hollywood Park, you will be able to see the famous Hollywood sign while having a picnic with friends and pups-- so cute and fun! At Laurel Canyon Dog Park, your Mate will also be able to make a ton of friends and run around leash free while you get to play with them.

Heading out for a bite to eat? Check out The Butcher, The Baker and The Cappuccino Maker along with Gracias Madre

The Butcher, The Baker and The Cappuccino Maker is dog friendly and perfect for grabbing a coffee and bite to eat after a morning hike with your pup. At Gracias Madre, you not only get to enjoy their amazing vegan Mexican cuisine and amazing summery drinks but you also can bring your Mate with you… I mean c’mon!





CULVER CITY AREA


Wanting to go for a hike? Check out Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook Hike Trailhead

This hike and famous steps will definitely kick your butt! Both sunrise and sunset are quiet and absolutely beautiful times to check out this trail because you get to see the expansive overlooking view of Los Angeles.

Want to soak up the sun and relax? Check out the local Boneyard Dog Park

At Boneyard Dog Park, you will find many locals bringing their Mate’s to enjoy a nice Summer’s day with their friends while you get to socialize and relax with expansive grass and trail areas surrounding.

Heading out for a bite to eat? Check out The Platform

A fairly new area in Culver City, The Platform, brings together retail stores for both men and women, multiple cafe’s and yummy restaurants… plus you get to bring your pup with you!




PALISADES AREA


Wanting to go for a hike? Check out Temescal Canyon

This trail allows you to bring your dog with you and is honestly so fun! At Temescal Canyon, you feel rewarded at the end of your hike because you get to see one of the most amazing ocean views Los Angeles has to offer.

Want to soak up the sun and relax? Check out Palisades Bluff Park

The Point at the Bluffs is absolutely magical. During the Summer, bring your Mate with you after a hike to relax with a picnic and some snacks looking over the water. Nothing beats it.

Heading out for a bite to eat? Check out Snug Harbor

If you are in the Santa Monica/ Palisades area you must check out Snug Harbor! Absolutely love this cafe not only because of the delicious breakfast and lunch but because they are so dog friendly to the point where they will offer water for your Mate! Great summer spot.



As the weather starts to warm up, remember to make sure you have plenty of water and a collapsible bowl for your Mate to stay hydrated throughout the day and on your hike!
